A faulty electrical light set a curtain on fire in a Center Grove High School auditorium on Tuesday causing the building to be evacuated.

The 4 p.m. blaze was quickly extinguished.

However, reports the fire had traveled to the roof caused anxious moments for Bargersville Community Fire Department and assisting White River Township firefighters.

Several 911 emergency callers reported the blaze. At first, it was believed the fire was on the roof. Those reports were inaccurate and based on smoke oozing from the top of the building.

Damage to the school was minor.
